Basic Life Support Adult/ Paediatric Care (BLS-D)
Pediatric Basic Life Support is a training course that introduces you to the specifics of providing first aid to infants and young children. The causes and methodologies differ significantly from helping adults in a life-threatening situation. This is an additional module of Basic Life Support training that expands rescuers’ knowledge to include helping infants and preschool children.
Who is the module of the Pediatric Basic Life Support course aimed at
PBLS is an additional part of training in CPR and first aid techniques for life-threatening situations. It is aimed at anyone who interacts with infants and preschool children. Every parent should have basic training on how to handle a situation when their child’s life is in danger. It is also a good idea to make sure that the people who take care of children on a daily basis have the appropriate training.
Why be a DAN rescuer
Children are much more likely to be involved in an accident than adults. Knowing how to proceed in such a situation can be crucial to saving lives and minimizing the effects of an accident, which can happen quite unexpectedly. Also, your child’s subsequent recovery will be much easier if you provide prompt and effective help.
Prerequisites for Pediatric Basic Life Support training
This is not a stand-alone training, but a module that is added to Basic Life Support training only. This will extend your knowledge of basic CPR procedures and life-threatening conditions with the same skills for infants and children.
