Underwater Archaeology
I provide services in the field of conducting underwater archaeological research in accordance with the Act on the Protection of Monuments and the Care of Monuments of August 23, 2003, as well as the Regulation of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage of August 4, 2018, on conducting archaeological and conservation research, as well as underwater research. I hold a permit issued by the National Heritage Board of Poland for conducting underwater archaeological research and excavations. I also cooperate with the Maritime Office and the Office for the Protection of Monuments. I carry out underwater archaeological research related to construction works, dredging, and exploration of historic wrecks, as well as research in the field of securing and documenting finds.
As part of underwater archaeological research, I offer:
- Carrying out preliminary – reconnaissance dives (e.g. in preparation for written documentation and permits)
- Performing archaeological underwater surveys
- Conducting exploratory dives
- Documenting finds, objects, and sites
- Conducting conservation and protection work on underwater finds, drawing up conservation programs, proposing methods for securing finds and preparing them for exhibition
- Preparing reports and scientific documentation
- Comprehensive implementation of underwater archaeological research
I also carry out exploratory searches of archaeological sites. For this purpose, I use sonar, magnetometers, underwater robots. I am open to institutional cooperation, as well as with historical associations and private individuals.
