Underwater Search with Sonar

Underwater search with sonar – precise object detection below the surface

Underwater search with sonar is one of the most effective methods for locating objects in lakes, rivers and other bodies of water. By using advanced sonar systems, it is possible to quickly and precisely detect the position of sunken vehicles, objects or drowning victims.

The choice of the right sonar depends on several factors, including water depth, bottom shape and type, search area size and the characteristics of the target object.

Types of sonar used in underwater search

For professional search and recovery operations, I use different sonar types depending on conditions and goals:

  • towed sonar – allows fast scanning of large bottom areas,
  • side scan sonar – highly effective for visualizing bottom structures and detecting objects,
  • 360° imaging sonar – enables full-circle observation,
  • sector scanning sonar with ROV – combined with remotely operated vehicles for detailed inspection,
  • hand-held sonar – applied in specific and restricted areas.

Effectiveness of sonar operations

I operate top-class sonar equipment that ensures highly effective underwater search and rescue missions both in Poland and abroad. My long-standing experience, combined with professional technology not available to most units, guarantees the highest level of precision and success. In situations where traditional methods fail, sonar-based searches become indispensable.
